Where did you live ?? Choose 1 near your home is better. Also the religious is different, 1 is Christain & the other 1 is Catholic. Which 1 you prefer?

Personally, I prefer Christain, so I would choose St Stephen's Girl's College. SO really depends on your religious.

感覺上, Marymount 比較貴族, 英文好少少!
St. Stephen's Girls' 女仔有教養, 純樸少少, 英文好, 音樂(choir and orchestra) 比較強! 小女有學 cello, 好想入St. Stephen's 的orchestra, 我自己又鍾意 Marymount, 十五十六, 唔知點揀......

Marymount not really "貴族", both are the same. Anyway, are your daughter really good at cello?? It's not easy to get in the orchesta at all. I can tell you both schools's Eng are good. I knew the students studying there. They are ok & not "死鼓鼓", they are very active.

You mean the school is not good or the girl herself is not good enough to substain in the school?? That's make all the diff. I believe both school are good, just find 1 to fit yourself more. It could be good for you but not good for me.

Would you mind to tell us where the primary school your girl is studying is? The school net may have a certain impact in putting the 1st & 2nd choice.

Of course, there is no restriction for selection in the first round. We all understand they are both good school. Therefore, to play safe, I would like to select the one in the same school net. So I can select the same school again in the "lucky draw" under both sections. Then you can have a bigger chance to get into the one you select.

This can be a strategy to get into the one you like the most.....

題外話, 都有幾位明星出自SSC, 好似阿So, 江X燕同X君如, 私下覺得佢地幾粗魯

well, to make our discussion more objective, I think we should first talk about two schools.

With no doubts, both are good schools so you don't need to worry much about the atmosphere and the examination results.

For SSGS, I think they focus a bit more on studies than MSS. Yea, for sure, students in SSGS joined lots of competitions, however, MSS girls got to join more competitions and truly, MSS put lots more efforts and time in ECAS. MSS emphasizes very much on all rounded education, while SSGS really focus more on traditional education, which cares more about studies. IF your daughter can't afford much time in ECAS, while balancing her study, I think SSGS will definitely be a wiser choice.

Consider joining choir and orchestra, I think MSS' choir and orchestra is better than SSGS. Lets take School Music Festival as an example, MSS' choir always get a higher ranking than SSGS. And I think MSS girls are real good at music, sports, speech etc. Maybe you can try to attend one of the choir competitions which involves both MSS and SSGS lately, so that you can compare both choirs.

Last but not least, I advice you to suit the right school with your daughter's characteristics. SSGS girls are more reliable, kind of sedate, and I would say, most of them would be the one who want to play safe. MSS girls are a bit more aristocratics and arrogant, but yet confident. They are talented and most of them would be the one who want to challenge themselves.
